Hi everyone,

I use XBMC & Media Centre (for live TV/PVR viewing). I also have a few Media Centre remotes.

I would like to improve the usability by doing the following improvements:

1) Is there a way to jump back and forth between XBMC/MCE using a remote?

2) I notice when I'm in XBMC, not all the remote keys work. For example if I press stop it switches over to MCE or completely ignores the command.

Does anyone have a good setup for managing between these two things?

In principle you can use a script to start WMC from XBMC. When you close WMC the focus will return to XBMC. You can bind a keypress to this script to make it as seamless as possible.

What model of remote do you have? It sounds as if the Stop button is sending something that gets intercepted by Windows and redirected to WMC.

Though I had problems with MCE getting focus when

Many use eventghost, it works perfectly and does a ton more.i have the same setup you do, using a single remote with EG everything is smooth. I can share my code if you decide to try EG.
