I have been offered 3 compaq 8000 Elite Ultra-slim for nothing. These are ultra tiny PCs that can be strapped to the back of the monito, they come with optical drives and 250Mb 2.5" H/Ds. 1 has a duo core 2.9GHz processor and 2 have pentium 4 E5400 (guessing 2.7GHz) processors?

Are these any good for XBMC Live?

Do these support HW Accleration in XBMC Live? Also they have DP ports would these work connected to HDMI with the correct DP+ to HDMI lead in XBMC Live?

after doing a search it appears the G45 GFX is hardware acclerated supported. So I will get testing tonight.

Just need to know if anyone has tried a DP+ port in linux and got it working staright out of the box.

it only supported hardware for mpeg2 not MKV, bummer.
