Acer Revo R3600 XBMC Live Wifi Issue
#1
Hi

I have an Acer Revo R3600 and it has XBMC Freak Maverick XBMC live 10.0 installed, I am trying to get the wifi to work, at the moment it is plugged into the ethernet but it has to run along the floor so could do with the wifi working,

Is it possible to get the wifi working alongside the normal ethernet, so as if i pull out the cable it will auto find the wifi (after configuration).

I have tried to configure the wifi many different ways as people suggest across the forum but cannot seem to get it right, is there any kind of plugin with an easy to use interface to set it up rather than having to type commands? or if it can only be done via commands then could anyone please tell me how it can be done.

Many Thanks in Advance.

I did not have problems configuring wifi with a Revo 3610 with a full Ubuntu 10.10 but I found the built in wifi rather feeble and unreliable in both Ubuntu and Windows 7. I even found this thread, FWIW.

I decided I wanted a wired connection to maximize playback performance anyway or instances when copying to and from the Revo.
