As the thread title, I want to set the ip address of my Appletv running sams latest patchstick.
I want to use the web interface to pick stuff but currently it won't work so hoping fixing the IP will help

Not sure what specifically your asking gary. To use web interface you only need to know the IP. But if you want it static (so it doesn't change). You can edit your /etc/network/interfaces file (google static IP ubuntu)

Sam, I cannot get the web interface to work. It says denied even though I have turned it on in the settings.

Yup, done all that.
For the downstairs mac mini which is running OSX the web interface works fine.
Upstairs on the appletv with your image it does not, stating the device denied access. I turned on web interface gave it a password and put this in the web interface. I double checked the password.
