Revo R3700 Windows 7 32bit or 64bit?
#1
First post so be nice LOL

OK I have an acer Revo R3700 (has linux on)
and looking on this website it seems that windows 7 is a better option than xp to then put XBMC on.

What im not sure of is:
Should i use a 32 or 64 bit OS??

the machines only use is XBMC 1080p content with aeon skin and browsing the web.

it only has 2GB ram but processor is 64 bit (Although i dont think XBMC will use 64 bit)

Please advise

I'd be surprised if you noticed any difference between the 32 and 64 bit versions of Windows on a Revo, so it doesn't make any difference which you use.

What problems are you finding in Linux? I have used Linux on my Revo and as I recall it worked fine. At the moment I have 32 bit Windows 7 installed (because there are some other Windows apps I use on it) and XBMC works very well.

I have no problem with linux but as its a family PC everyone seems to want windows (suppose its what there used to).

but I didnt want to buy 64/32 and find out i purchased the wrong one.

im leaning more towards 32 at the moment just needed to make sure it was the right way to be looking or if it even matters at all.
