Zacate platform performs better then any ION systems...
its not Twice as fast, but still, its an inch faster...

hmmz , my dad wants a htpc setup too
and i need to build it ... maybe could upgrade my msi E350IA-E45 to the Asus AT5IONT-I due to 200mhz more speed and ion 2

but then i'll keep it and just order another msi for him :p

i was wondering if the Atom/ion setups should be faster in lets say xbmc live or openelec as the Amd in windows 7 ?

if i could run the amd/ati nicely at the Xbmc live with sickbeard / couchpotato / sabnzbd it would be no choise i stick with the Ati combo

Will the MSI version bitstream HD audio via its HDMi port? Also will it handle 1080p streaming fine running XBMC windows 64bit?

1080P is fine trough windows 64bit ... i have that board at this moment , the bitstream via HDMI was also yes i tought !
