[Linux] TV Tuner cards
#1
Hi all,

I'm looking to see if anybody out there is using TV tuner cards with XBMC and Linux and if they could share what cards they're using and what their experiences were with the cards.

I've checked the linuxtv wiki with the list of compatible cards so I'm using that as my reference for looking around but wanted to get some first hand info if possible.

I'll need a DVB-T and DVB-S2 compatible card(s), the BlackGold BGT3595 looks like a great card but it's Linux support is a bit restrictive (they have only released binaries for specific 32bit kernel versions) but they at least seem like they're working on better support.

I'm using a Hauppauge WinTV Nova T 500 here in NZ to capture OTA DVB-T works like a charm.

The WinTV Nova 500 was on my list; one I'd definitely consider, thanks for the reply.
