[WINDOWS] XBMC does not see disc
#1
Question
Hardware/Software information.
PC: HP Pavillion tower with 4GB memory
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
Graphics Card: ZOTAC GeForce GT440, 1024MB, DDR5 Memory
Blu-ray Player: Samsung Blu-Ray Internal SATA Drive
LCD Monitor: ViewSonic, HDMI 1080p, Full HD
XBMC: 10.1 Git:e9e9099 (Compiled: Mar 8 2011)
The Blu-ray player is mounted in a NexStar DX Serial ATA box and connected via e-SATA cable to an internal SATA port.

When I insert a Blu-ray HD DVD, the drive letter and DVD title appear on the XBMC menu options. When I select this option, XBMC says the drive is empty. XBMC never recognizes a Blu-ray HD DVD as being loaded.

I have downloaded a trial version of someother software and it will play that same Blu-ray DVD.

Any suggestions?

Thank you,
Joe

XBMC on Windows can be fussy about using any but the first optical drive. If your PC already has an internal DVD drive try changing the drive letters around so the BluRay drive comes first.
