iPad apps for SSH & SFTP
#1
Hope this is the right place to post this & that it helps others.

I tend to use my iPad for most everything - even when there's a perfectly good laptop sitting next to me, Mac right in front of me attached to my TV and desktop in the next room. Until recently, I had been using remote access programs on the iPad to connect to my PC or Mac & then to XBMC (on ATV2) from there. But I found a couple programs that let me do most things directly from the iPad:

Prompt: SSH client. Great for killing XBMC when it gets stuck and I don't want to get off the couch. Easy to use it's a universal app so great for iPhone too.

Files Connect: Connect to other computers via SFTP, FTP, SMB, AFP, WEBDAV, etc. Great if I need to move some files around or look at log files. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to let you copy text outside the app but it does have an option to email files so if I need to copy just a portion of my log file, I email, it to myself then copy what I need from the email attachment.

Now I only have to get off the couch to get a beer.
