I have seen major tearing issues on MKVs with the last few weeks of nightly builds. I have tried several different MKV, different encoding specs too.
I updated to the latest (11.5) AMD ATI video drivers and it did not help - I was using 11.4 before.
Anyone else having this issue?
Want to ensure it is happening with others before I post a bug.

I think I fixed this an it might not be XBMC related... not sure.
I went into CCC and disabled "Enforce Smooth Video Playback" under Video - not sure why this would matter but it seems to since I did not change anything else and I've had tearing for a while

bobo - great find! I have the 5450. I wonder if the ESVP was disabling some features needed to do the HD playback properly. Again, this only started happening with 11.4 & .5 so I suspect driver changes were the cause. Not positive though, since it only happend on recent XBMC builds also.
I'll update here as needed.
