That's similar to mine and it does kick ass. I don't use a graphics card and I get great 1080p playback. I can also play emulators from all major US consoles up to the ps1. Haven't tried ps2 yet.

I've run both Linux and Windows 7.

Edit....I use this same.processor.

That's 50 Watts of TDP too many for a HTPC, a dual core 45W TDP Athlon X2 250e 3GHz is just fine with plenty cpu power to spare.

point was to point-out a great deal on a very good budget CPU...
if your criteria is to have low TDP Wattage, then thats you....
