XBMC on 2nd screen - lock controller to that screen?
#1
I have a hdmi cable running to a 32" hdtv being controlled with a wired Xbox 360 controller (for now).

Screen 1 = PC
Screen 2 = XBMC

The problem I am having is once the mouse moves to screen one, the controller will not function again, until I move the mouse back to screen 2. How can I fix this. I have disabled the mouse in the XBMC options. I need to be able to use the PC, while XBMC is being controlled via the controller on Screen 2.

Windows 7 SP1 x64
XBMC 10.1
ATI 5670 1GB (used to output to 2nd screen via hdmi)

What have you used to make the 360 controller work?

Wiht the usual IR remotes they send keystrokes to whatever winow has the focus, so when you switch away from XBMC it doesn't receive the keystrokes from the remote. The usuyal way to fix this is to use Eventghost as it can grab the remote and direct the signals to whatever window you want.

I scrapped trying to use the wired xbox 360 controller. My new solution was to mod a old XBOX IR DONGLE to USB, and use eventgost. Was alot easier then I thought, and I no longer depend on a wired controller.
