Transparent folder icons
#1
Sad
hi,

i'm using the pm2 skin, which is

i've organized my movies in folders and would like to use pictures of the "boxes" (i.e. the batman - legacy box) as folder icons. unforthunately these boxes are 3d photos, so the background (usually white) around the box is looking ugly.

is there any way to use a background color to appear transparent in folder icons (like the transparent color in a png or gif) ?

you can try using a <foldername>.tbn in the same dir as the folder is in. this can probably be a .png.

hi,

so, if i have a folder "/c/batman" and i place a file batman.tbn (format png) in "/c", than xbmc will not use the folder.jpg file in "/c/batman" but display the "batman.tbn" file?

btw: @chokemaniac: awesome skins!

i'm not sure which one takes priority, but yes, that is the idea.

in fact, renaming it to folder.jpg may work as well, depending on the method used to load the image. experiment.
