Would anybody be interested in this as a feature? I find picking up the phone, turning on the screen, then finding the pause button a little cumbersome compared to a traditional remote. Adding a shake option would be fairly simple.

Another alternative would be flip to pause/ flip to resume. IE if XBMC remote is running, and the phone is sitting on a flat surface face up, flipping it face down would send a pause. Flipping it back over would resume.

Any thoughts? If there is any interest I might have a go at adding this.

I think the flip to pause one is backwards. Once everyone in the room has flipped their phones over, then playback begins

If someone feels compelled to check their phone, then the movie pauses to re-inforce the "pay attention to the damn movie" feeling.
