Just discovered this addon and I wanted to say thanks so much for making it. A couple of questions. Is 540p the max quality for live streaming games as of now, or did I miss a way to bump it up? Also is there a way to overlay the radio audio like you can in some of the official apps? Just curious, wasn't sure if I missed any settings anywhere. Again, love the app as this puts me one step closer to being able to integrate every thing I watch into Kodi.

I just tried to install on Kodi 15.0 under Ubuntu 14.04.4, starting from https://github.com/Yuioup/kodi-mlbmc
Tried to install the zip file, Kodi says structure is incorrect. When I try to open it in Windows, it asks me for the last disk in the set.
So I grabbed the plugin folder and placed it in Kodi plugins and tried to run it. It couldn't run because it couldn't find Storage Server. Installing Kodi's Common Plugin Cache from their standard repo fixed it.
Then couldn't run because it couldn't find BeautifulSoup. Was able to install that from Ubuntu using apt-get (sudo apt-get install python-beautifulsoup).
Then fails because it can't find librtmp.so.1. There I am stuck, can't find that one.

I can't play the HLS streams for some reason. I can play MLBMC just fine. HLS always gives

I haven't been able to get the HLS working this season either. The 540p stream is as good as it gets, but that's still pretty good. Hopefully development on this plugin resumes for next season.

@suiside - where to put it? The docs (http://kodi.wiki/view/HOW-TO:Update_librtmp) don't say where to put it for Linux, they just say to search for it, and I have none...
Also my Ubuntu system is 32-bit, and all I see is an x64 version. Not certain that matters, but it seems like it very well may.

There is an updated version for this year that apparently works https://www.reddit.com/r/kodi/comments/3...orking_in/
I have that version installed but get that invalid argument error. I think it is missing some dependencies.

All right! It works! I actually installed a 64-bit Ubuntu, among other reasons so that I could use that librtmp.
To Recap, installing MLBMC on Kodi 15.0 and Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64-bit:
1. Get plugin.video.mlbmc from https://github.com/Yuioup/kodi-mlbmc and place in your plugin folder.
2. In Kodi, install "common plugin cache" from kodi repo (under Services)
3. In terminal, "sudo apt-get install python-beautifulsoup"
4. Get librtmp.so.1 from https://www.mediafire.com/folder/3623pdo81n353/lib and install in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/librtmp.so.1

Since the NHL is moving to MLB's servers, hopefully someone (such as Timewasted) can get a plugin that will handle both.

I'am from Germay. My written english ist not the best. I am sry for this.
I have an appleTV and kodi and all four Streaming passes. (NHL,MLB,NBA and NFL). Apple TV is my Backup System. I must say, the bild quality on kodi is better than on apple TV, but appleTV can modify the quality on the fly, and so you have no or a little bufffering.
MLB-HLS works fine. But only Live Games. Condensed are only 540p. Form the stabiility (right?) MLB-HLS ist one of the best. Because you can use the internal kodi Cache. I ve set it on 100 MB and Size 15. In Live Games the cache is 20MB-30MB, which is a half minute puffer. But with apple TV i can go foward and skip the MLB Comercial brake Picture. With mlb-hls i can't go forward to skip something, altough the cache is full with 100MB.
In Germany you cant watch every Games live, because we are 6-9 hours in front of the United States. I watch my favorite teams relive and all other game condensed, but all other 3 Apps for kodi, have only live Streaming for this only a litte bit in the small programm cache not the big kodi cache, so sometimes its buffering.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing when I heard that MLBAM was taking over the NHL streaming.

Ich hab versucht, dir 'ne Email zu schreiben, klappt aber irgendwie nicht...
Vielleicht können wir uns mal austauschen, da ich auch mlbmc nutze... Nur hat das ja immer 'n büschen was mit viel-experimentieren zu tun... ;-)
