Hello,
I am running the XBMC PVR Branch (v10.1) that can be found here: http://www.scintilla.utwente.nl/~marcelg...build.html and I am using the version called "Update: 10-03-2011: Prebuild Windows setup of XBMC Dharma 10.1 + PVR (github/margro PVR build)."
I noticed that I am getting quite alot of Vertical tearing when I watch hires video like stuff ripped from a DVD. In particular, I am watching a mpeg rip of "The Green Hornet". Other lowres video, I don't notice the tearing...
The weird part is that I can watch the same mpeg in Windows Media Play with absolutely no tearing whatsoever!!!
I am using the embedded HDMI video card on my Motherboard. It has an ATI HD4200 chipset, so I think it should have enough power. In fact my previous statement about WMP shows that it can in fact run the video without tearing.
I have messed round with the video options (assuming it was a vsync issue) and have not seen any difference.
Any suggestions
Thanks,
Jeff
