hello board,

What do you think of this little lovely box?

Image
  • Atom D525
  • ATI HD 5430
  • Fanless
  • Integrated IR
  • 260€ barebone

I'm only concerned about the support of the ATI card within XBMC for Linux (could be a deal breaker for me).

looks nice! However, I'd prefer some Nvidia card in there, because of easy linux support.

The price is quite nice, and it's fanless, which is always a very nice feature.

It seems there's a DVB-T embedded as well but I can't confirm that yet.

The Linux support of the ATI cards (I mean, for decoding 1080p) is still that bad?

In the easiest case, you must get a vaapi enabled xbmc, I think. Probably you'll have to compile xbmc yourself and enable vaapi (to get HW acceleration on ati cards).

This may change soon, since the Openelec team is working in an ATI build, which should make running an ATI machine as easy as a Nvidia one.
