1/4 of schreen used by xbmc sometimes ...

Sometimes when my dad want to watch a movie and he switches the input , xbmc only uses 1/4th of the screen ?

is there any explanation for this ?

he's using it with HDMI at full HD resolution

when he reboots the system all is fine again ...

uses MSI E35IA-E45 motherboard

any ideas ?

I get this occurrence on my XBMC Live box when I press the backslash (\) key. Not looked into why it's doing it, I just avoid pressing that key now Smile

\ key switches XBMC between windowed and fullscreen, on xbmc live there's no windowmanager so you don't see window decorations, so windowed mode will look like this.

I remember seeing posts on this subject, and I think it turned out to be the video driver. However I can't remember the details.
