I'm a bit of a noob with Linux and xbmc on Linux.
So when I change folders or exit the program I experience a significant delay. I'm running Ubuntu 11.04 on a Dell optiplex 755. It's not a terribly fast computer, however it probably isn't the hardware. The problem is sporadic and the length of the freeze is not consistent. I can open one folder with no problems, open a subfolder or a file and get the spinning circle or the circle will freeze for who knows how long. Sometimes I can't get any further and have to power the computer down.
I'm connecting to a shared network drive for the media files, but that should not affect exiting the application I would think.
I'm open to ideas.
