Duplicate Video Files for One Show
#1
Hi, I am new to XBMC and to the board. I tried searching but couldn't find anything on here that solved the issue. Please forgive me if I overlooked something.

I noticed that one of my shows is listing the same episode twice for about half of the first season when in library mode. I can delete the duplicates through the context menu, but whenever I update the library, it re-adds them.

I tried removing the show, changing the folder structure (all episodes for this multi-season show were originally just in one folder. I made season folders on the second attempt) but this did not fix the problem.

Using the "clean video library" function worked once, but once re-scanned, it added them back

I am at a loss.

I am running the most recent stable build of XBMC. Windows 7 64 bit. Aeon skin. The scraper is using thetvdb.

Thanks for the help

This needs to be used when you need to delete listing in the library for files that are not connected to a video. (use it often) If you still have duplicate for a TV show in the library... use the 'Info' command on your keyboard (or C menu item information) to determine if/what there is attached to the listing... and it's path. I doubt that you have dual listings for the same file, but might have some nomenclature that could cause a double listing.

Thank you! You're right, the video files were linking to wrong files in the "extras" folder. I feel almost silly I couldn't figure that out
