Annoying noise
#1
I've been running XBMC on my Apple TV2. I can watch my downloaded movies on my TV and the sound through an optical cable. Some films are excellent in terms of picture and sound.
But some films give a heavy constant annoying noise in the sound.

Someone who can tell me if I need to adjust some settings in sound in XBMC?

More info. Xbmc version? Apple software version? Media file info? Logs.

If I have helped you in any way, please forgive me, it was entirely accidental.

My granddaughter sometimes makes an annoying noise too, perhaps its the same noise Smile

Seriously, that could mean anything. let's get a little more descriptive about it and how about an xbmc.log too while you are at it so we can see how you have xbmc setup as well as which version you might be running.

After turning output to forced 16bit in the apple settings I do get 5.1 but there is always a quick sharp noise at the start of 5.1 movies, which I understand to be a sudden change from PCM to 5.1.

Does not occur throughout though
