Hi ive been thinking of building my own machine for a while but are tight on money Ive got a old HP DX5150MT AMD machine unde my desk that has just been sitting there doing nothing , If i get myself a decent graphics card and sound card + a couple of terabyte drivesdoes anyone no if i could run Aeon on this machine and can anyone recommend a decent gfx card that i could use in this machine ?

Im using an Geforce 8400 which I bougth for 10€ on Ebay, it supports VDPAU and works perfectly for 1080p videos.

Don't know if your mainboard supports PCI-Express.

on the hp website it says
"Bus Type PCI Express™ x16 for optional graphics upgrade."
i take it this means it will take a pci express card then

well then, if your using windows,
get the cheapest GT210 or HD5450!!
those cards will let you play 1080P without a hitch!

For the AEON skin it depends on your Processor...
i think u have a dual-core so its fine....
