DXVA - screen is blinking
#1
Hi
My HTPC is: (Only XBMC run on it)
Q6600
Nvidia GT 240
2 GB RAM
51’ LCD

I’m still getting frame drop in MKV or VC-1 files (around 200 frame drops)
when I switch to DXVA the frame drop is 20 but the screen is blinking

1. Is my HTPC is not strong enough? Why I get frame drops?
2. Anyway to fix the DXVA blinking?

I suspect the DXVA blinking issue might be a gfx driver problem, update to the latest and see if tweaks in the sync and scan areas will clear this up. It looks like without hardware acceleration your choice of videos will be limited. Streamline your O/S and any extra unneeded tasks in the background, bit more ram might help.

BTW: are you keeping 2 diplays open at the same time....? refresh here is critical.

Have you tried alternating between fullscreen mode and windowed mode to see if that makes a difference?
