[LIVE] GT210 vs GT430

Seeing as the price difference between these two cards is down to about $25 bucks, I'm curious if there's a real difference in playback quality between these two cards on a Live install. I'd be using a AMD 250 for the processor, AMD770 motherboard, 1GB of Ram.

The extra $25 is definitely worth it.

GT 430 for better post-processing (scaling, deinterlacing etc.) - if you just watch nice 1080p 23.976fps stuff both will do the job.

GT210 if you dont need to BitStream HD-Audio & Dont need 3D playback
HD5450 if you need to BitStream HD-Audio & Dont need 3D playback (Windows OS only)
GT430 if you need to BitStream HD-Audio & you need 3D playback

Also note that Bitstreaming HD-Audio under Linux is new and not so stable,,,
I believe there's tweaks to make Linux Bitstream Dolby True-HD but,
no luck for DTS-HD Master...
if im wrong on this, plz correct me Tongue

same for XBMC, current version doesnt support HD-Audio Bitstream!
no matter if its windows or linux...

This is something that should be used under a WIndows OS
and like i said. you'd have to use an external player for it to work
like MEdiaPlayerClassic example,,,,
Default XBMC player wont work,,,

ANd 3D playback, well, you have a 3D HDTV??

I use a FanLess Low Profile GT210
and it makes no noise and eats any 2D 1080P movies i throw at it!

The GT210 works well with 3D Side-By-Side. Why not check out the fanless HDMi 1.4a GT520?

Is there any problem with deinterlacing with the 210 card?

Under normal circumstances (1080p24) the G210 will suffice, but for 1080i (full spatial-temporal deinterlacing) and 720/1080 @ 50/60p this card will not suffice.
