Hi all !
So I installed XBMC yesterday, and it seems nice, but it's not really working as a DLNA server. XBMC server is visible from my TV, it allows me to enter, shows up a "Music library" and a "Video library", both are empty.
Config :
- Windows 7 Embedded (on a Thin Client) configured with Private Network and media sharing is enabled
- Mapped drive to my desktop where media is
- Samsung television
What I am able to do is display the TC directly through VGA and use my Android phone as a remote for XBMC. That works perfectly (it is very nice and works very well, doesn't it ? ), videos can be started, no problem... I guess everything works just fine, except I don't see the different video sources through the network on my television.
Any service I should start ? Any configuration I should change regarding network ? This TC is supposed to be used primarily as a DLNA server, so whatever needs to be changed, will be.
And last accessory question - doesn't it get easier when installed on a Linux ? Thought I might just install Ubuntu on that Thin Client...
Regards,
