How to have XBMC conditionally use external player
#1
I've been running XBMC on windows for many years, and love it. I recently built a second HTPC, and decided to go the linux route (full install, not live). All is working well, except that I can't figure out how to configure it to conditionally use an external player for a specific type of video (or for any video, for that matter). My blu-rays are full ISOs, and I would like to be able to play them with menus, etc. I see no other way to do this, other than mount the ISO and play it in an external player (like I do on my windows box).

I've searched and searched, and haven't found an answer. It's possible that this is something very obvious that I'm missing, and that's why it isn't in the forums anywhere. Anyway, I'm sorry if this is a repost, but I could not find an answer any other way.

Thanks in advance,
Dave

Thank you. I had mistakenly thought that playercorefactory.xml was only for the windows installation. That explains why I couldn't find any info about this. I will try setting this up tonight!
