Live-CD: avoid Casper blacklisting proprietary drivers?
#1
How do devs of the live-cd avoid Casper from blacklisting proprietary drivers like the nvidia kernel module in the Live-CD (needed because nouveau offers no vdpau). Also: how are drivers for ATI/Intel GPUs handled, I know there is no acceleration, but are there specific kernel modules as I am wondering how they are detected and appropriately modprobed on the fly. I see NVIDIA scripts in Git for xbmc-live, and a reference to modprobing the open source radeon module but not the NVIDIA module, so I am not sure how you are overriding Casper's built in blacklisting

are you possibly looking for this script ?
BTW we don't use Casper, but live-boot from debian - a fork from casper.

I see. That explains how you include proprietary drivers.

Not sure how you dynamically modprobe (or load) the correct module
