Playback failed - Certain media files do not playback
#1
newbee post so I try to be specific as possible

Problem: Certain media files do not playback, these are both .MKV and .mp4, but other mkv files do stream. It seems to only happen for tv series. And only happend for media i added the last 2 weeks. Question is what is most likely the source of my problem.

Platform: Acer Revo - XBMC-Live (OS: Linux 2.6.32-29-Generic#58-Ubuntu SMP Fri Feb11 19:00:09 UTC 2011 i686)
Version: XBMC 10.1
log file many places e.g. line 1215: http://pastebin.com/tGQXcBaS
Reproduce: Go to media file and queue for play

My host of the files is a WIndow 7 machine hooked in the same wired network.

I use to manage my media with Sickbeard, sometimes by manually processing

Items which I have tried which did not help the problem:

Update XBMC 10.0 --> 10.1

Change sharing option on win7 machine, directly linking to folder with TV programs / reloading the episodes.

XBMC do see the episodes, but they just won't play

anybody savy who is able to look at the log file in the original post?

you need to enable debug logging.

I'm having the same problem i think. Live install (Dharma 10.1) been working happily for 6months, recently now wont play any video files at all. It's as if something's upgraded itself automatically and now there's a problem. I have only recently started using sickbeard/couchpotato/sabnzbd instead of torrents, but I cannot see how they would interfere with a live install, as I use them on a separate windows pc - and move the downloaded files, to a WHS11 HP server. Any ideas ?
