Is it possible to connect a digital set top box as a source just using USB ? i.e. rather than using a Tuner card in the PC to get free to air

e.g. DreamBox SettopBox (digital TV receiver, sat/cable/terr) can be used with xbmc using TuxBox protocoll.. via network ofcourse. Works as a NAS also.
