Remember, I changed builds ...this is the case for new build:

Case:
SILVERSTONE Sugo SG05-B

BUT FYI...the Raidmax 0907BP has a bay for a 5.25" optical.. you can prolly fit a slim drive inside but there is no bay specifically for one..

[BD-R] Samsung SH-B123L ($58 + $0)

Which Bluray Writer do I recommend?
[BD-RW] Pioneer BDR-206DBK ($100 + $0)

I don't mean to hijack the thread but it's a quick question and is sort of related.

Is there such a thing as a 3D bluray drive or do all bluray drives have the capability to play/read them as long as the software is capable?

I have been seeing some drives with 3D advertised in their names, is that a gimmick??

Thanks

PS. I am strictly referring to computer parts when I say bluray drives, not to standalone bluray players Wink

you'll enjoy your i3 htpc, and here is a bd-rom to go along with it- LG Electronics CT10N Slim SATA Blu-Ray Combo Drive

and add one of these to play 3d- PowerDVD 11 or TotalMedia 5
>Alienware X51- do it all HTPC
>Simplify XBMC configurations
>HOW-TO Bitstreaming using XBMC
I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio!

according to spec, it supports 3d- GeForce GT 520. it is 3d ready because you need media player in post #20 to playback 3d, and the card don't provide 3d player!

Thanks for the slim BluRay advice... but can you help with this HD audio thing. I have a new post explaining my situation....but in short, GT520 NVidia drivers will not produce 8 channel HD audio only 2 channel(Front L,R).
