Movie Playback not full screen, how to fix?
#1
Have XBMC 10.1 running on an AMD E-350 running Windows 7 X64 through HDMI to My Onkyo Receiver and onto the Panny 58'' 1080p TV.
The desktop is set to 1080p and it's set so that it fully fits the Panny.
When XBMC launches, it also fits the full 1080p. During movie playback though (this particular movie is 1920x815) it looks like it's playing with a black border all the way around regardless for video mode (normal, original size, zoom, etc).
I would expect a 1920x815 movie to fill up the horizontal on a 1080p TV. What do I need to do to fix this?

Thanks

Try "Crop black bars" on the video options when the movie is playing.

I don't know if that is the correct answer or not, but it works for me and I don't see any distortion of the original image.

I guess you have adjust display refresh rate enabled in XBMC.

You have to change the scaling options in CCC for all refresh rates you need to use.
In CCC it's Start->Desktops and Displays->My Digital Flat-Panels->Scaling Options.

Change your refresh rate to 24/50/60hz and change the scaling options as needed.
