Can i still get version 0.7.8 from somewhere? I have problems with the newest version, just says script error and wont even open. Older versions do work, the best 0.7.8.

Please check that you are using version 0.8.2 . If you are, I would like to see a debug log and know which version of Kodi you're running. I'd rather fix the problem than have folks falling back to a version with known problems. Thanks.

It looks like you are not running 0.8.2. Please check under Settings->Addons-Enabled Addons for the version, it looks like 0.7.9 or 0.8.0 to me. Uninstall the VEVO addon. Download from moneymaker's repo https://github.com/moneymaker365/plugin.video.vevo and re-install. Your version is failing because it can't import script.facebook.media, which was a problem in 0.8.0.

I seem to be having problems watching any youtube videos on the vevo plugin. This used to work but it is now very selective on which videos it will play. I have loaded what I think is the latest verision 8.2. Are there any settings that I need to change to make it work?

BTW
I do not use Facebook and will not use this for any type of login. Is there any reason that I would need this?

The version shows me 0.8.2 and i did download it from moneymakers github. I didn't do a uninstall of the previous version should i have done that i had 0.7.7.c before installing this? I said 0.7.7c and 0.7.8 work. If i could i would just install 0.7.8 since that works best , but i cant download it from anywhere.

I'm not sure what's going on, the error you have is the same as I've seen prior to 0.8.2 and is due to script.facebook.media not being loaded/found. 0.8.2 has it defined as a dependency in addon.xml and should auto load it if it's not installed. It works for others, so it may be a platform issue or something. Anyway you can manually install script.facebook.media as described in this post:

You won't get the error once script.facebook.media is installed.

You may be able to find previous versions of the addon by looking in your addons/packages directory. Usually previous versions are kept there for rollback.You will see plugin.video.vevo followed by the version number or "master". You can use "Install from ZIP" option to install. You need to uninstall the installed addon if you are trying to install an older version.

Can you give an example and load a debug log when trying to play it to xbmclogs.com? I can't help if I can't duplicate or see the problem in the log.

Problem solved. Reason was that , the facebook media addon did install with vevo plugin, BUT it was not activated. I just activated the addon script and now everything works.... Do you guys use other music video plugins ? I dont i think the vevo plugin is just the best for MVIDS.

But i get an error again, when playing some older videos, the new ones work 100%. I am pretty sure it has something to do with the youtube plugin, not 100% sure.

Please post a log if you're having trouble and I'll see if it can be fixed. I have an off and on problem where I get timeout errors and the request works the second or third time I make the request. Because it's an http url, I have no way from the addon to vary the timeout (at least to my knowledge) and I'd hate to have folks increase the curl timeout in advancedsettings.xml for just this addon. I need have a look at improving retries or something.

Sorry for the slow response. I found that the issue was with the you tube plugin instead of the vevo plugin. I followed the instructions from Tomer953 (post #4599) in this thread <<http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=79487&page=307&highlight=vevo>> to fix the issue.

Can you tell me if you're using the older YouTube addon or the Bromix version (5.0.0)? I've had reports of problems with the newer version working with Vevo but haven't seen it myself.

When i start a playlist the first video is always skipped.

I had a little request too.. Any possibility to add shuffle on personal playlist?

You can put it in a .strm file and try playing it. This seems to be where you fail. I can play it, but I see that your country id is different from mine and it may be blocked where you are.
