And I love configuring Xorg. That script is just awesome.

and check your PSU fan too,, i saw u placed the PSU in a way that its fan is under,,

not saying its not good, but if the PSU fan is an exhaust fan,
means it'll throw hot air towards your CPU Cooler,,,,

maybe flip the PSU, making the Fan ontop,,,

like i said, first, check if the PSU fan is an exhaust fan...

The psu fan is an exhaust fan, so I will try to flip it. But then the air is going up in the casing, where theres no gap. I will allso turn the cabinett fan the other way, and monitor if there is any difference.

Do you know if its possible to turn on the pc with the remote? I have a harmony one and a hp mce reciever.
Btw, Ive installed openelec for now, and everything seems to be ok. GPU temp 47C and cpu temp 54C on idle.

Im not patient enough to struggle with xbmc live, want to test out the machine nowSmile

IDLE GPU temp seems ok,,,
CPU a bit high but not dangerous,,, check under full load how it is,,,

if your PSU fan is pushing hot air directly at your CPU,
you can always open your PSU and just flip the fan
so it'll intake instead of exhaust!

maybe thats why your CPU temps are a bit high

Il try those things tomorrow, this has been one hell of a day and I need some sleep. Ive sold my appartment and got my htpc succesfully assembledSmile Happy day!!

Keep it up joeranjensen!! but report back lol

as PoofyHairGuy suggested to me,
example, if toilet paper doesnt stick to it and gets pushed away,
that will tell you if the PSU FAN exhausts or intakes Smile

So in case of Exhaust, i would definitely crack open the PSU,
and flip its fan so it'll intake instead,,
then, place it where it was, meaning, PSU FAN downwards like it was before,,,

Doing this will probably decrease CPU TEMPS!!

try "rm /tmp/.XO-lock"

if it says you don't have permission, "sudo rm /tmp/.XO-lock"

+1. How about temps? Ever do any burn-in testing?

Everything is good. I dont remember the temperatures, but theres no overheating issues. And the fans are running in silent mode.

The htpc is fast, allmost supersilent and I love itSmile

Edit your main post with specs, not sure if the 14 pages is worth reading Wink
