So I have quite a problem, please if anyone can HELP MY SANITY!
Here is my set-up:
Server:
I5 Sandy Bridge, 16 gb ram, 44 TB storage (4x3 TB, 16 x 2 TB) Running Windows Server 2008 R2, drives are SMB shared, over gigga ethernet w/intel nick.
Copying to and from server with the HTPC or any other comp in the house gets near theoretical max with giggabit, 80-105 MB/S. All connections wired.
HTPC
Foxconn NTA350-0H0W-B-A-NA AMD Hudson D1 1 x 204Pin AMD Radeon HD 6310 Black Mini / Booksize Barebone System, new egg link
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6856119050
4 Gb ram, with Cruical M4 128 GB SSD and Windows 7 Ultimate
XBMC with default SKIN. All setting as generaly recommented, hardware acceleration and so forth.
When hooked up to a DVI (LCD monitor) no problem streaming blue-ray rips (all owned) from server smb share, VQ at 99% all time.
Hook up the HTPC via HDMI, buffering every 30 secconds, vq drops to 3-6%, refills to 99% then drops again in about 30 seconds.
Copy the rip to the local drive at 80-105 mb/s, then play...no buffering.
From the on screen data the rip does not require anything more than 36 MB/s and the audio a bit more, but well within the tested bandwidth of netwrok.
I am at a compleate loss right now.
Can anyone help me?
