XBMC runs perfect, but when I try to watch a film with 'dolby digital' audio it will only play video not audio Im using onboare audio device Realtek HD conected to TV via HDMI

have you do these- xbmc>system>settings>audio ouput (hdmi) and speaker config to match your hdtv speakers>select audio wasapi: hdmi)
