Hauppauge MCE Remote with XBMC
#1
will this remote work with xbmc and if so will there be much tweaking involved
to get the keys to work (i have no idea how to do this and would have to learn how to if it is needed

i am thinking of using with windows 7 but also curious if it will work with the live version or a version running linux as i have a friend who is running his off ubuntu and another off openelec so if it does work i can order a couple at a time and save on postage

if this is not a good remote can someone recommend one and a good reciever too as i am trying to find a couple of them

i am in australia so deals on amazon or newegg won't help unfortunately plus there is postage delays with items coming out of the US at the moment so would take too much time to arrive

here is the one i was looking at

there is also this and being a usb wireless reciever it should work out of the box but i prefer the look of the hauppage one personally

Yes, it will work.

Here are some compatible remotes:

Eskro recomends 2 MCE remotes in his thread (look at the second post):

I wouldn't buy the second remote you posted. It doesn't look like it's an official MCE remote.
