Can't play ISO DVD
#1
Hi

I have my a DVD (photo slideshow from my marriage in dvd format) and I'd like to rip it to my XBMC 10.1 box (windows XP).

First I thought of ripping it to MKV but problem is, I want to keep the DVD menus, the intro title, and of course, the chapters. Also, it has two audio tracks, as well as two streams of subtitles, which must remain.

So I thought of keeping it as an ISO file.

But my xbmc 10.1 box, as well as the nightly build I installed on my pc, just don't play the iso file... When I click enter, or play, it doesn't do anything (not even an error...)

Any ideas?

Thank you

yes, dump it as a proper dvd iso, not a data iso. i.e. only udf 1.02 and iso level 1 (8.3). NO JOLIET.

you can try the guide in my signature below, and it'll playback iso without external player.
>Alienware X51- do it all HTPC
>Simplify XBMC configurations
>HOW-TO Bitstreaming using XBMC
I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio!

Thank you very much, both of you...

I found a ImgBurm, which worked like a charm.

Thank you
