Hi all,

my XBMC installation crashes while playing music, this happens several times during the evening and sometimes not at all (with different mp3 albums).

I'm not sure if it's music related as I haven't had the time to watch a movie lately.

It may not be important but I use the spectrum visualization when playing audio and XBMC commander (iPad) as remote app.


Details:

ATV2 / iOS 4.2.1 (8C154) / jailbroken with Pwnage tool OS X

xbmc-20110903-c1d2bb6-master-atv2.deb

(same issue with xbmc-20110910-caab280-master-atv2.deb and xbmc-20110912-ad5b5ce-master-atv2.deb)

Downloaded from official mirror-list with wget and installed using dpkg -i

Files are on NFS shares and library is using MySQL (both on Synology DS111)

There's another post about this same issue with video, I've found disabling scraping, using list view for media and a full reboot help for a bit. Unfortunately it doesn't do much more than bandaid the issue.

Doesn't seem to be related to the inactivity issue mentioned in another post as the atv was running idle all day long without crashing.

Watching a movie right now to see what happens... unfortunately I have to disable debugging or my girlfriend's going crazy with the debbuging info jumping over the screen ;-)

Started watching the movie yesterday and shortly after pressing play on the remote XBMC crashed. I can not provide a xbmc log as debugging was disabled but seems like syslog is telling us the ATV ran out of memory:

I restarted XBMC and watched the movie (> 2 hours) without an issue. Tried to reproduce the crash by starting several movies today but everything's stable.

Right now I'm listening to the album that crashed the last time to see what happens...
