XBMC Problem to connect to NAS
#1
Hello all,
please help me with my problem I have XBMC installed on my ATV2 according to this tutorial.
http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid...lbreak+faq
everything is working fine, when I stream from my windows PC or my Laptop to my ATV2.
But I can't stream from my NAS (Synology 211j), when I try to add it (e.g. windows network SMB) the following message appears: "Operation not permitted".
Do you have any idea what the problem could be?
The strage thing is that I have access to my NAS via my PC and Laptop whithout any problem.

Thx in advance.

Thx a lot!!!

By the way an other interesting fact I realised is that the XBMC on ATV2 just detected my NAS when I additionally turned on my Laptop.
After that also my NAS appeared and it was possible to add it via Windows network SMB in the xbmc.

That is odd. The Synology should act as a Browse Master if it is running Samba.

Just googled: there should be an option to enable local master browser in windows networking.
