Hi All,
I was just looking at the CPU usage on my HTPC just now while some music was playing with Euphoria screensaver running and it was maxing out - showing in the ranges of 35%-110% (dual core..)
Now, I'm just watching a mere 1080i HD Stream from the MythTV backend (local) and I'm seeing 'top' reporting only 7-10% use.
How is it, that the screensaver is hammering the box so much more than 1080i x264 content (BBC HD)
My guess is that the Screensaver is not utilising VDPAU, but it is being used by the video playback.
Is this a 'bug' a 'thats the way it is' or something I can configure better?
Cheers!
