A relative of mine had a hard drive with him of several hundred dvd's he has ripped from his library, all just a straight rip into Video TS folders. He plays it perfectly in windows media center with no issues.
I was able to play it just fine myself using media player as well.
However - the dvd's in XBMC either will not play or play extremely.....weird. Like it will start playing and skip through the entire move in about 20 seconds, showing various frames with blips of sound, then go right back to the title.
I kept assuming that it was just something to do with the way he ripped them. So I took some of mine, which I normally convert to avi, and left it in the same format. Had the same problem.
This is confusing me. I see other people on the forums that obviously play dvd's from folders like this just fine. I actually have 3 different computers in my house with XBMC, Various Dell machines. I the exact same problem on each. All of them are 10.1 Dharma Stable. It does this whether it is on a local hard drive or network streaming.
Any ideas?
