I am running windows 7 64bit professional, I have been having issues playing 1080p videos. I was struggling to play 1080p MKV files but this was resolved by installing cuda. However Youtube at 1080p and BBC iPlayer in HD still stutter.

The video downloads quite rapidly so I know its not a buffer issue and I already have the latest nvidia and flash drivers. Any ideas?

If this is on your ION system, then iPlayer is a known issue. The BBC haven't implemented hardware acceleration in their flash player yet. Apparently they're working on it. Youtube should be fine though. You should check that the hardware acceleration is working.

Start a flash video playing, like iPlayer, and right click. It will be under settings somewhere.

If you want to watch iPlayer, there's an XBMC plugin.
