Remote connection problem
#1
I am running XBMC Dharma (on Ubuntu 10.04) with an iPhone over WiFi as remote with the apps from Collect3. I can connect using “Discover host” and it works beautiful. If the XBMC has been turned off for a small amount of time the remote connection is established again automatically. I can also use other application like PC to control the XBMC, no problem. But if I shut down the XBMC for more than a couple of hours I cannot connect to XBMC from any application, when the XBMC is powered on again. The only way I have found to get the connection running again is by using “Discover host” in the Collect3 “XBMC remote” apps.
I expect it is some timeout in the router while the XBMC is turned off, which drops some information used by XBMC, but how can I get XBMC interface to work right away? I have tried remote desktop that works!

Please help as I am a novice in Linux.
