iPlayer Crashing
#1
Hi guys,

This is my first post with full error logs etc. so apologies if I've done anything incorrectly!

Basically I'm having general problems with the iPlayer add-on, and I don't know why. It was fine last week.

It won't play any HD content. It goes as far as to selecting video stream, then it says it's going to play, but then stays on "Please Wait" for about 60 seconds, then states the file cannot be played.

I can get the add-on to begin SD content, but then roughly 3-4 minutes after starting it'll just stop and I'll be back on the iPlayer menu.

PLUS, after stopping/not playing the files once I hit the Menu button to go back XBMC will crash.

The following logs files are taken just after I try to play a HD stream, then XBMC has crashed.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thx for the detailed bug report. Unfortunatly we had still an issue with our buildbot - so we can't make use of the information of your crashreporter log. If you have some time you could try with the next nightly build tomorrow and when the crash still exists post a new log. We should be able to use that information from now on ...

Hi guys,

Sorry to bring this up again. Only just had a chance to play around with it again.

Right the XBMC crashing problem is no more, and I can start HD content again.
But the plug-in will still always crash (whether SD or HD) after a few mins of playing any file.
It seems to be playing absolutely fine, then will just stop and I'll be back in the iPlayer menu.

Anyone?
I love the iPlayer add-on, and really hate the fact it's not working like it used to

Works fine for me on my ATV2. When i had similar problems in the past (stream dropping after a minute or so) i fixed it by going into the settings and changing the source of the stream from auto to one of the other options (akamai, level3 or limelight - can't remember which, just try each one til you find one that works).

If you're still having problems you might have more luck posting in the iPlayer thread here:http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=51322
