How would I make a custom shortcut to a specific addon appear in the main menu, along with Movies/TV/Settings etc... ?

Some skins allow you to make a custom menu item.
For it to work usually you need to add the add-on to favourites. This favourite can then be added as a menu item.
You best ask in the skin thread if you need some help.

Gotchya. I have favourites working, but I can only add custom shortcuts in submenus.
