I hope someone decides to port a full working version of xbmc in the future cause it'll be left behind in the dirt one day

The day is coming when guys like us will be tired of building custom systems to run this app and as manufacturers are building smart tv systems into everything now for online content

Just like Dell, HP and Apple killed off component sales at NewEgg.
Just like Kit Cars and Kit Planes don't exist.
Just like Linux doesn't exist with all these companies including an OS with their hardware.

have not tried it yet as i am getting the fire for christmas but it seems that this app will allow you to stream stuff in a manner similar to the standard PS3 media streaming.

I for one would enjoy XBMC on everything including my toaster. Right now it has turned my apple tv2 into a cheap alternative for a home theater PC.
