XBMC + tvheadend + Fedora 14
#1
Hi all,

I'm running the latest version of xbmc from the rpmfusion repos, and I have compiled and configured tvheadend - both work very well. HOWEVER ...

I'm trying to get XBMC talking to tvheadend, with no luck. I've followed guides saying things like "go to the PVR addons section" or "go to the Live TV" section, but alas I can't find any of these. I can't seem to find any addons at all, anywhere, that make reference to TV, PVR or tvheadend. The only thing I can find is a mythtv addon, and that doesn't work with the version of mythtvbackend I have.

I'm getting very frustrated, because I have everything seemingly working, just no way of tell XBMC where tvheadend is Confused

Anyone out there help?

Cheers Eek

In xbmc do Add Source and enter:

htsp://username : password@ipaddress:9982 (no whitespace)

Here is link describing xbmc+tvheadend:

I would tell you to just install the pvr version of xbmc. That way you'd be able to do what you've described trying to do. Unfortunately, you're running fedora and dushmaniacs pvr build are only compiled for ubuntu (i think)

So your only option is to do what srihanuman said. Which is not anywhere near as good as pvr, but works.

Cheers,
