I had this working fine before on Chakra Linux (which is essentially Arch Linux) but I switched back to my Arch install and noticed that XBMC would crash upon launching certain TV Shows. After checking and comparing the logs all the errors stated a problem with PulseAudio. After installing PulseAudio XBMC doesn't crash anymore but I don't have any sound on any videos no matter what I change the Audio Output Device to. When I had this problem before all I did was delete my GUISettings.xml and everything worked again, I tried that but it didn't work this time. Sound works perfectly in every other application though so it's not a problem with my soundcard.

It seemed to fix itself after a reboot and removing the audio settings again.
