Hi,

I am kind of hoping and will be glad if the next version of XBMC can support a straight Trailer-URL support from the NFO file.

This would be a huge help for users like me without a huge HDDs for storing local trailers for 1000s for movies which would in turn will swallow GBs of data. Currently I have set up my EMBER MEDIA MANAGER to store trailer URLS in every NFO file. But they wouldn't play the URL. There has to be some way to stream it by some tweaking. But making individual changes to 1000 movies would be tiresome work.

So at least if the next version can support streaming of trailers from a YouTube url even would be so so awesome ...

huh? this has always been supported. it's just the common confusion that an url to a youtube page is an url to a video.....

however, you can do utub. to do utub vids, use urls of the format plugin://plugin.video.youtube/?action=play_video&videoid=<utubid>

(remember that it's a xml file so those & needs to be properly escaped)
