I just updated to the nightly builds from an earlier patched build I had been using from the summer to get hardware dxva deinterlacing working. In order to get vector adaptive to work which is the best deinterlacing option available on my ati 5450 card, I need to select "deinterlace method:dxva best". This works just fine, problem is even after telling it to save for all movies in the menu, after I close xbmc and go to use it the next time it will forget the dxva best setting and revert to "auto" which gives me bob deinterlacing or some other garbage. I have to then manually change the setting every time I want to watch an interlaced video which you can imagine is incredibly frustrating. Why won't xbmc save this setting for me? The feature works fine, but the menu setting just won't cooperate with me. :confused2:
